It’s a safe bet that all of us have a handful of really amazing friends, and a couple of mine have given me the gift of a hand-up as I work to get the Adventure Lab up and running.
My childhood best friend, Kathy (Katt) Glendinning, is going to be helping out as a “Community Den Mom”. We’re hoping lots of people will want to join us at the digital kitchen table, to both shape the Adventure Lab as a resource, and to benefit from it in plotting their own adventures. Katt is going to help ensure that Adventure Divas find their way around as they get oriented at the web site, are able to join in on the conversations, and can begin using the tools to start mapping their own course. Katt is a sassy, heart-first Adventure Diva herself, and I’m darned lucky to have her by my side 46 years after we first met!
There’s another gal I’ve developed a tremendous respect for during the past decade. While we first began working together on a little “better world building” at the online Omidyar.net community, Joan Boysen and I have continued connecting and sharing ever since. Joan’s work as former “Director, Special Projects” at Omidyar Network gives her an insight that’s going to be tremendously helpful as I work to create a transparent, accountable and socially responsible program of investing in women at risk. She’s agreed to come on board as the Fellowships and Charitable Investments Advisor to help steer the philanthropic side of the “Adventures with the Estrogen Army” project.
Thanks a bunch, Katt and Joan, for giving me a hand as we launch!
