Ever wanted to travel back to immerse yourself in the Victorian era Downton Abbey style? Don’t have the budget to do it quite the way you dream of? Sister Adventure Diva, Linda Eggleston-Nowakowski shared a contest sponsored by Masterpiece Theatre on PBS for a chance to win a 5-day, 4-night trip for two adults from the U.S. to Great Britain (and, surprisingly, it’s also open to those of us in Canada!).

If you’re hooked on the hijinx at Downton as much as I am, here’s your chance to visit the iconic Highclere Castle for private tea with The Countess of Carnarvon, author of Lady Catherine, the Earl, and the Real Downton Abbey; etiquette training from The English Manner; and guided tours of filming locations in the beautiful Oxfordshire Cotswolds, such as Bampton, Shilton, Cogges, and Swinbrook, and the downstairs set at Ealing Studios in London.

    Enter daily December 15, 2014 through March 15, 2015.

The winner will be given round-trip (economy class) airfare out of a Delta Air Lines-operated gateway city at the time of travel to London Heathrow Airport and accommodations at a Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotel. Travel must take place July 26, 2015 to July 31, 2015. They will also receive all five seasons of Downton Abbey on DVD, the official companion book, A Year in the Life of Downton Abbey signed by cast members, and assorted Downton Abbey merchandise. (ARV $7,500. Itinerary arranged by VisitBritain).

Thanks, Linda, for the heads-up on this epic adventure!
